Gospel singer Dorcas Moyo has responded to a wave of backlash over her perceived alignment with the Zanu PF regime, saying she remains unshaken by public criticism.

The controversy comes after Moyo was gifted a brand new vehicle by businessman and well-known Zanu PF supporter Wicknell Chivayo. The gesture drew mixed reactions, with some accusing the singer of being politically compromised.

Moyo also came under fire for a Facebook post that appeared to denounce the March 31 protests, further fueling speculation about her political leanings.

Despite the criticism, Moyo maintains she is at peace. In a Facebook post on Wednesday, she wrote, “When God allowed it to be pushed at the edge trust him because only one of two things will happen. Either he will catch you when you fall, or he will teach you how to fly… I have peace amid the storm…”

Moyo has not directly addressed the accusations of political bias but her recent posts suggest she is leaning on faith to weather the storm.
