Harare- Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has hired his own 2 personal pilots to fly his Bombardier Challenger 300 jet.

Chivayo revealed this in a twitter post indicating that the two pilots, Captain Brian Chawasarira and First Officer Kundai Muganiri had been selected from 600 other interested applicants locally, regionally and globally and they are set to undergo a fully paid for simulator course in Orlando.

After receiving OVER 600 applications from incredibly talented pilots across Zimbabwe and , surprisingly, from the REGION and beyond, I have the GREATEST PLEASURE to officially CONGRATULATE the appointment of two exceptional ZIMBABWEAN pilots who will now take control of my Bombardier Challenger 300 , Captain BRIAN CHAWASARIRA and First Officer KUNDAI MUGANIRI.

Both gentlemen are seasoned professionals with exceptional qualifications and experience. Captain Brian brings with him over 15 YEARS of flying, having served various REGIONAL and INTERNATIONAL carriers, including our own AIR ZIMBABWE, as well as private charter operations. With well over 5000 flight hours, Brian brings with him a WEALTH of knowledge and experience in the cockpit. FIRST OFFICER Kundai has more than 3000 hours of flying time and served at reputable airlines such as Fastjet, Halsteads Aviation and other commercial operations across Southern Africa. He holds a BSc Honours Degree in Aviation – Aircraft Systems and Operations, and has extensive experience in private charter flights. I wish Brian and Kundai all the best, as they will be leaving for the United States next week or two , where they will undergo a one month FULLY PAID for SIMULATOR course in Orlando specifically tailored for the BOMBARDIER CHALLENGER 300 jet , as part of their final customization required for command of this aircraft.
