Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has spent over $100,000 on his Roora ceremony, marking a significant occasion in his relationship with Lulu Muteke.

The much-anticipated Roora Day for Chivayo and Lulu Muteke took place on Saturday, March 8.

Chivayo recently met with President Emmerson Mnangagwa to receive his blessings to marry his new lover, Lulu.

In a statement on Saturday, the businessman shared:

BHEBHI RAKO RAROORWA…Uku ndiko kwazvino perera 🥰🥰🥰

“Yesterday, on my way to church, I had the greatest pleasure and distinct honor of introducing my soon-to-be wife to HIS EXCELLENCY, the President. The highlight was that my wife hails from the esteemed SHUMBA clan. So, I am now officially a MUKWASHA (son-in-law) to the President, being a SHUMBA MURAMBWI 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. The President jokingly asked, ‘So, my son, are you sure about marrying my daughter?’ 😂😂😂 To which I replied, ‘What can I do, Your Excellency, if I’m already in love!'”

“Our reception was nothing short of remarkable. With his signature humor, His Excellency warmly welcomed my wife as a daughter of the royal Shumba lineage, inviting her to sit beside him, while I, as the MUKWASHA, could only clap in gratitude 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.”

“I deeply appreciate His Excellency’s words on love, respect, responsibility, mutual compassion, and the importance of commitment in marriage. At the end of our conversation, I received standing orders from the President himself: to love his daughter unconditionally for the rest of my life. I stand guided, Your Excellency, and will comply with your orders without exception.”

What surprised many was that, despite Chivayo’s controversial business history, President Mnangagwa continues to embrace him.

Chivayo expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity, saying, “I am most indebted and deeply grateful to His Excellency for blessing the foundation of our union. To the love of my life, MASIBANDA, you are my heart’s greatest treasure. Today is our day—unshakable, united, and unstoppable. This is the day the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it. Together, we will honor this sacred bond, and our love will endure until the end of time. 🙏🙏🙏”
