Controversial businessman and tenderpreneur Wicknell Chivayo has purchased a brand-new vehicle for gospel musician Dorcas Moyo.
Moyo recently faced widespread criticism for her remarks, “Ranganai Henyu Asi ZVICHAKONA,” and was heavily criticized on social media for allegedly undermining protests against President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s potential third-term bid.
In response to the backlash, Chivayo took to Facebook on Monday to express his thoughts:
“Ranganai Henyu, Asi ZVICHAKONA…
What was meant to be a beautiful song, uplifting our faith in God and reassuring us that no matter what the devil plots, it will not succeed, was unnecessarily politicized. It spiraled into hate speech and cyberbullying on an unprecedented scale against an innocent, award-winning gospel singer and God-fearing woman. The level of political intolerance among Zimbabweans is alarming.
We must be mature enough to accept that ZANU PF is and will always be the ruling party, beloved by many for its pro-democracy, pro-people, and development-oriented agenda. Additionally, it is futile to deny that President Mnangagwa is firmly in control of and leads both the ruling party and the country. A lion cannot be dethroned by Twitter or YouTube channels.
It is clear that both the President and ZANU PF are the favorites of the majority of Zimbabweans, myself included.
That being said, I was deeply hurt by the online insults directed at Dorcas Moyo simply for sharing her chart-topping gospel song, which was released over five years ago. The good thing about God is that, in the face of humiliation and public persecution, He shows that He is God, and He will raise you from the ashes of ridicule to the tables of royalty!
In recognition of Dorcas Moyo’s exceptional talent and contributions to gospel music, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations. Please visit Victor on Wednesday to collect your brand-new 2025 Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD6, which will be fully paid for at Exquisite Car Dealership. Additionally, because of ZANU PF’s ‘RUDO,’ you will also receive $20,000 in cash for fuel and to treat yourself at the salon. You truly deserve it after all the stress and hate speech you’ve endured.
I also want to thank those who persecuted and ridiculed you. Their hate has only made you greater. What is destined by God cannot be thwarted. You can plot as much as you want, but it will certainly fail, just as it has before and will continue to fail.”
