Chitungwiza- Chitungwiza Residents Trust (CHITREST) has issued a condolence message to the families of victims of the accident which claimed 17 lives at Manyame bridge along Seke Road.

15 passengers who were in a kombi died when a haulage truck encroached onto the oncoming traffic lane, resulting in a collision with a kombi carrying 17 passengers which was coming from town and going to St Mary’s.

The truck also struck 2 pedestrians killing them on the spot bringing to 17 the total number of victims who perished in the tragedy.

In a statement, CHITREST said it was heartbreaking to lose lives through accidents.
