Tinotenda Hove – HARARE – Speaking at the burial of businessman Joseph “Mutangaz” Mutangadura over the weekend, Chief Ruzane made a passionate call for justice, insisting that the killers be sentenced to death.
Mutangadura was shot dead by suspected armed robbers at his farmhouse in Ruwa last Monday, a crime that has shocked the community.
Addressing mourners, Chief Ruzane said: “The soil will fight back. Today I declare those who killed Mutangadura must be sentenced to death. What I want to tell you is that the criminals will be caught.”
He added: “Why did they kill an innocent human being? Surely they will not escape. I will say it again—they will not get away with cruelty.”
“As the Chief, I am declaring the killers should be punished because they killed an innocent man,” he emphasized, urging law enforcement to ensure justice is served.
The funeral drew family, friends, and community members, all mourning the loss of a respected businessman whose life was cut short in a violent act that has left the nation demanding answers.
