Tinotenda Hove – Citizens Alliance leader Advocate Nelson Chamisa issued a strong statement on Thursday, pledging to defend Zimbabwe’s integrity as the nation grapples with economic turmoil and political uncertainty.

In a passionate address, Chamisa reminded Zimbabweans that the country belongs to all its citizens and warned against allowing its wealth and resources to be monopolized by a select few. “Zimbabwe is ours. Zimbabwe is us. It belongs to us all, not to a few,” he said.

Chamisa described the nation as a divine gift that must be protected and nurtured. “Zimbabwe is neither party nor personal property. This jewel is God’s gift to us all. We, the people, are God’s stewards of this jewel. We cannot fold our hands while it fades,” he added, urging citizens to take an active role in safeguarding the country’s future.

The opposition leader highlighted the urgent need to restore Zimbabwe’s dignity amid economic decline, social unrest, and governance failures. “Zimbabwe is too precious to be left dying and decaying. Zimbabwe must shine. Come, let us reason together,” Chamisa said, calling for unity and collective action.

His remarks come amid rising inflation, fuel shortages, and ongoing challenges in public services, which have left many citizens frustrated and anxious about the nation’s direction. Chamisa’s statement reflects a broader appeal to the public to engage in shaping a future built on transparency, fairness, and shared prosperity.

The leader concluded his address with a call for solidarity, invoking the hashtag #OnePeople to emphasize the importance of national unity in navigating Zimbabwe through its current crises.
