Tinotenda Hove – A serious traffic jam has brought Bulawayo Road to a standstill after a vehicle reportedly plunged off the Kuwadzana Extension bridge on Sunday afternoon.
The incident has caused a complete halt in traffic flow, with commuters reporting delays of over two hours as vehicles remain backed up in both directions.
“We’ve been stuck here for almost two hours now, and nothing is moving. People are even getting out of their cars in frustration,” said one stranded motorist.
At the time of publication, it was still unclear whether any injuries had been sustained in the crash. Authorities have not yet released official information regarding the cause of the incident or the condition of the occupants.
Emergency services had not cleared the scene by late afternoon, adding to commuter frustrations and raising concerns over the efficiency of disaster response protocols.
More details are expected once law enforcement and rescue officials issue a formal statement.
