Beitbridge- The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has arrested three court officials linked to Beitbridge Magistrates Court on charges of conspiring to commit a crime, authorities confirmed on Friday.

Those detained include prosecutor Beatrice Pedzisayi, court interpreter Bridget Mudau, and an unnamed prison officer. The trio faces charges under case numbers CRB B TB 83/25 and CR ZACC 4/7/25.
ZACC Commissioner Kindness Paradza confirmed the arrests, stating the suspects were apprehended earlier this week following a targeted investigation.
“The [officials] were arrested during the week after law enforcement agencies zeroed in on the Beitbridge magistrates court and confiscated mobile phones from officials from which incriminating evidence was extracted,” Paradza told Zimpapers.
The operation involved forensic examination of seized devices, which reportedly yielded proof of criminal collusion among the accused.
All three suspects remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in court on July 23. The arrests mark a high-profile crackdown on alleged corruption within Zimbabwe’s judicial system at the busy border town.
