By Hon Johnson Matambo – As your Member of Parliament for Kuwadzana West Constituency, I am honored to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and active participation in our collective efforts to address the water shortages that have affected our community for far too long. Through the Community Development Fund (CDF), we have embarked on a mission to bring clean water to our residents, and your involvement has been instrumental in making this initiative a success.
The recent drilling of boreholes, including the one at the Methodist Church in Ward 38, is a testament to what can be achieved when we work together towards a common goal. I would like to extend special thanks to the Christian community, particularly the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ward 44, the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe in Ward 38, and the Church of Christ in Ward 38, for their willingness to collaborate with the CDF Committee. Your contributions have not only facilitated the drilling of these boreholes but have also fostered a sense of unity and cooperation that will undoubtedly benefit our constituency for years to come.
However, our work is far from over. As we begin to utilize the newly drilled borehole at the Methodist Church, it is crucial that we adopt a culture of co-production in its maintenance and safekeeping. This means that every member of the community must take responsibility for ensuring that our water sources are protected and preserved for future generations. By working together, we can guarantee the sustainability of these water projects and continue to improve the lives of our residents.
I am pleased to announce that this is just the beginning of our efforts to mitigate the challenges affecting our community. More interventions are on the horizon, and I urge you all to remain engaged and committed to our development initiatives. Together, we can build a brighter future for Kuwadzana West Constituency, where every resident has access to the basic necessities that will enable them to thrive.
Once again, I thank you for your support and participation. Let us continue to work hand in hand as we strive to create a better tomorrow for ourselves and for generations to come.
Hon. Johnson Matambo
Member of Parliament for Kuwadzana West Constituency
Chairperson, CDF Committee
